Greetings from CEO
Thank you very much for your continued support.
Homura Heavy Industries is focused on providing systems for the outdoor environment.
According to the United Nations, the world’s population is to increase rapidly from 7.6 billion (2019) to 9.7 billion (2050). There are challenges against the expanding food production along with the population grows, and there are concerns about shortages of meat, fish, and grain that we take for granted today. Since many of today’s primary industries are labor-intensive, we must further digitalize them in the future.
We have used our experience in outdoor environments to develop Bio Group Control®, which controls the behavior of organisms, and robotics, which controls the behavior of machines. We will combine these technologies and promote the digitalization and industrialization of food production in primary industries with a focus on practical, on-site operations.
We look forward to the collaboration with you in the future.
CEO / FURUSAWA Yosuke

Our Mission
Automate primary industry to solve global hunger
According to United Nations projections,
the world’s population will increase by 2.1 billion people over the next three decades from 7.6 billion (2019) to 9.7 billion (2050).
As the population grows, expanding food production presents its own set of challenges.
There are concerns about potential shortages in staples like meat, fish, and grain that we currently take for granted.
Our goal is to automate primary industries, using new technologies, with control technology as the forefront.
What do we do?
Tackling on the Challenge of Automating primary Industry
The world’s agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sectors face various challenges, including climate change, water scarcity, and land degradation. Combined with increasing global demand for food and diminishing arable land, improving productivity and sustainability is a significant challenge.
We are categorizing tasks related to water into "underwater tasks" and "water surface tasks." Our aim is to promote digitalization and remote work tailored to each type of task, and we provide automation solutions to support this effort.
Automation of underwater tasks
Automate the movement of live fish remotely with Bio Group Control®.
Achieve remote working.
Automation of water surface tasks
Link and digitalize “Marine Drones (Marine Robots)” and various devices.
Automate various tasks and achieve remote working.
Core Technology
With control engineering as the core, we have identified two technical areas: “Bio Group Control” for biological control, and “robots” for object control, and we are working on technology development on a daily basis.
We regularly publish our development results in Homura Heavy Industries Technical Reports.
